Offered here is a beautiful vintage 18k 750 yellow gold Italian hand-carved agate hardstone cameo of the Virgin Mother Mary.  This is a left-facing cameo, which usually indicates that it was carved by a left-handed carver and is less common to find.
This cameo is the perfect size to wear as a pendant--it's not huge and not small.  It has a fairly large bail, and the cameo pendant hangs from a fine 9 karat (375) Italian chain.
So the cameo is 18k, and the chain is 9k--both are hallmarked.
The cameo measures 1 1/4" by 3/4".  It is stamped 750 for 18k gold, with Italian hallmarks.  The chain is stamped 375 (European for 9k gold).   The necklace weighs 3.7 grams and is in excellent condition.
